Many years ago, I had a photography instructor who exhorted the class to make interesting pictures, not take pictures of interesting things.  Making a photograph of a flower is cheating.  It is just too easy.  Taking credit for capturing what is already beautiful is lazy.  Because of their intrinsic nature, they demand more of the photographer.  Inspired by the work of Irving Penn, Frozen Flowers is my attempt to add that more.
