Elizabeth Needham is a professional photographer living in Marin County, California.

Originally from the New York area, Needham moved with her husband and two children to California in 2012.  She began taking pictures seriously after her children were born; they became her first subjects.  As her passion for photography grew, so did her focus on portraiture.

Working with a local humane society, Needham has also done extensive photography of people and dogs, and has also completed major projects involving teenagers, middle-aged women and a study of frozen flowers.  She is drawn to projects that take her out of her comfort zone and tell a story through images.  Needham especially enjoys the challenge of creating a relationship with her subjects and putting them completely at ease so that a deeply authentic representation of them becomes possible.

Needham’s work has been featured in regional publications, local shows and in the collateral materials of charitable organizations.
